Saturday or Sunday, Sept. 4 and 5. Times TBA I’ll be playing for an hour at the Wine Garden one or both of these days, and performing with the Harpers Hall Celtic Harp Ensemble. Schedule will be posted here as soon as I know it! The Highland Games are always great fun! I’ll also be helping introduce harps and harp playing at the Harpers Hall booth, and offering 15-minute Celtic Weave Reiki sessions.
San Mateo Arboretum Society Annual Garden Tour.
Saturday, Sept. 11. 11am-12noon and 1PM-2PM. Location TBA. I’ll be playing my harp at one of the gardens on the tour. Check back here for more details!

The Celtic Pilgrimage: A Daily Journey to the Sacred

Perhaps we are all pilgrims yearning for mountaintop experiences, whether they occur in a distant land or in our own backyards. In this retreat we’ll weave harp music, Celtic wisdom, poetry, and story, nature connection practices, and spacious time for solitude and discernment to nourish our spirits and open our hearts to a sacred intimacy that can be found in ‘ordinary time’–the everyday. We will then create daily rituals for finding and conversing with this inherent holiness in our own lives.
Participants will be asked to bring: journal and writing instrument, sack lunch, comfortable clothes and shoes for walking outdoors.
Carol Spangler is experienced in leading spiritual direction groups and retreats and offers contemplative retreats at her home on Vashon Island. She is a graduate of the Shalem Institute’s Spiritual Formation Program and completed the Anam Cara Project at the Sacred Art of Living Center in Bend, Oregon. She has been studying Celtic spirituality for the past three years.
A Celtic harper and healer for more than 20 years, Jane Valencia nourishes a Spirit-centered, nature-woven life and an illuminated sense of oneself with her harp, story, song and healing artistry.
